More than twenty years experience in economic research, policy and business advice, management and organization, business development, public affairs, training and teaching, with international organizations, governments, consultant firms, employers' federations, financing companies and non-governmental organizations, in the area of national and international economic policy, financial and investment analysis, international cooperation, acquisition, identification and evaluation of regional, sector and national projects and programs, European policy, technology and innovation policy, export policy, and socioeconomic issues. Responsible for institutional relations with private firms, government departments, members of parliament, trade unions, universities, Chambers of Commerce, World Bank, OECD, European Commission, European Parliament, European employers' federations (UNICE), embassies, and other national and international organizations. Management experience on projects and programs both in the Netherlands and abroad. Excellent communication skills and author of many publications and reports. Fluent in English; working knowledge of German, French and Bahasa Indonesia. As chairman, secretary, member or organizer involved in institutional consultative bodies, both national and international, e.g. the Dutch Social and Economic Council (SER), UNICE and OESO/BIAC, at symposia, task forces, joint business councils, investment seminars, trade missions, etc.

Chairman of the recently established Association of Accredited SME Advisors (VGMA).

Qualifications:
M.A. Economics - University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
Accredited Associate of the Institute for Independent Business.
