Acting as the interface between IT and The Business
Departments. Ensuring that the Technical IT staff understand
and appreciate the Businesss requirements and ensuring that the
Business staff are aware of the potential and the limitation
of their IT environment. IT Systems Implementation/IT Systems
Integration: IT Project Management and Business Analysis - modelling
of 'As-Is' processes followed by formulation of 'To-Be' processes
and Gap Analysis. Business Process Re-engineering, User Acceptance
Testing, Management Reporting Requirements. IT Systems Selection:
Evaluation of new software by research and investigation of alternatives.
Data Management: Amalgamation and streamlining of data in order
to remove duplication and bottlenecks. Market Data: Experience
of Reuters, Bloomberg, Thomson Financial, Barra Risk, Sungard.
Understanding of the technologies behind todays global financial
markets with respect to Straight Through Processing and FIX protocol.
Negotiating local and global software contracts alongside Software
Lawyers. Recruitment of Analyst Programmers, Market Data Analysts,
Financial Business Analysts and Quant Programmers. Service Level
Agreements (SLA's). Change Management. Co-ordinating and controlling
the introduction of new systems and procedures for dealing financial
derivatives and developing existing systems to effectively manage
derivatives trading. Ensuring all Front Office applications were
Euro compliant and Year 2000 compliant. Designing test plans,
co-ordinating their execution and reporting on the results to
internal and external auditors.
