Strong general management background with a bias towards marketing in the Business to Consumer environment and with much online experience:

RETAIL & DIRECT MARKETING: specialist retail management, franchising, direct mail, mail order, e-commerce.

INTERNET MARKETING STRATEGY AND SEO: All aspects of online marketing, particularly search engine optimisation and search engine marketing.

WEB DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT: Complete web development and marketing packages. From strategy, through design to ongoing marketing. Now mostly concentrating on content management system (CMS) based sites.

BRIEF HISTORY: Started off life in retail management. Spent a considerable period with one business, a £multi-million turnover specialist retail and mail order company in the leisure marine industry. Held various positions including Purchasing Director, Marketing Director, and General Manager. Spent time with a City incubator company and managed a number of business startup projects, including retail franchising and dot.com business start-ups and launches. Last corporate post was as the online marketing manager responsible for the launch of the Specsavers Lensmail.com online contact lens business.

Acquired online marketing agency DVisions in 2004. Although still carrying out some "conventional" marketing work with clients, focus is now more on internet strategy and marketing, search engine marketing (SEO and paid search), and website development.

I am also a director of European Law Monitor CIC, a not-for-profit online information service involved in the monitoring and tracking of proposed new EU legislation, and part of the EU Europe Direct Information Network.

MBA, University of Portsmouth. Accredited Associate, Institute for Independent Business.
