I have been Chairman of the Board of Governors for a small independent
school. The tasks included Chairing formal Governor's meetings
with up to ten people attending, liaising with the Head Teacher
and setting school policies including Health & Safety, catering,
staff & teachers' employment contracts. I was responsible
for capital expenditure decisions and worked closely with the
school Bursar to set budgets etc.
