All Things Retail. I started in retail in 1963 and I have worked for Departmental Stores as well as Major Supermarket Chain as Store Manager and Blue Chip Drug Store chain (Kingfisher) as Regional Manager.

Had my own retail business where I was named as the "Retailer of the Year - Norfolk" in 1994. Requested to become a Retail Adviser to all types of retails outlets from then on. I've also helped establish approximately 1,000 business as sole traders over the last 4 years which makes me a dab hand at Business Plans -Market Research - Start Up Cost analysis etc.

Qualifications:
SFEDI Qualified. Institute of Business Advisers qualification: Counselling Skills, Advanced Counselling Skills Finance for Businesses Member of the Institute of Business Advisors (MIBA) Fellow Member of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Vice Chairman Norfolk FSB.

I have consulted on projects as diverse as turning around a Department Store to reopening village stores years after closure. My time normally involves an in-store appraisal of all aspects of the business including analysing its financial situation; checking the adequacy of ranges; internal security including office / till functions; merchandising and buying skills. The appraisal is concluded with solutions to problems found, suggestions and recommendations. I also diagnose skill shortages.
